I am, after all, a bear 14/10

 Today was the day of the big departure. It was with a touch of nostalgia that I left Tours and its friendly inhabitants. I left the city at 7 a.m., followed the Cher in the dark of night, passed through a residential area, and finally arrived at the edge of the forest.

Here, the world transformed. I felt like I was stepping into a Murakami novel. The thin line between reality and the surreal was dissolving, leaning towards the dreamlike. A mystical mist, with the rising sun reflecting on spider webs, made me feel as though I was entering another reality.
Once in the forest, I came across a rather surprising sight.
Where did this shoe come from? Who had placed it there? Was someone walking around with one bare foot? Had I truly left this alternate reality? Everything seemed to make me believe I hadn’t.


The forest offered other sights, such as the discovery that even ferns feel the effects of autumn.

A little further in the vast forest, I encountered a jogger. She didn’t seem startled to see me and even greeted me. That’s when I realized I was really a bear. Not a scary man but a friendle berry eater. If you don’t get the reference, dear reader, you clearly don’t spend enough time on social media.


After the forest, I passed through a village, where a few elderly men, eager for conversation, spoke to me about hiking.

In the second woods I crossed, I had the strange feeling of being chased by Nazgûls.

Once I arrived in Sorigny and retrieved the keys to my accommodation, my day consisted of resting
